What motivates This™... Naturally?

Simplicity. In this 'progressive,' fast-paced world we live in, sometimes it's good to take a minute and think about what we really need.
Do I need that PDA with the 3-inch instruction manual? Do I need a cell phone that takes pictures, downloads videos, gets e-mail and changes a flat? Do I need to rub Petrolatum, Methylparaben and DMDM Hydantoin on my skin? Do I need those scrunchy orange wedge heel boots? (Well, no, but they're so cute).
Anyway, the point is, it's important to try to think about how we live and how we treat our bodies. Exercise, eat right, read labels and avoid artificial chemicals and preservatives whenever possible. ThisTM... Naturally products are made with real, natural ingredients -- ones you can pronounce. Did you know your skin is the largest organ you've got? Give your outsides, the same respect you give your insides and feed your skin well, too. Here's why.

ALOE VERA GEL ~ Contains over 75 nutrients and 200 active compounds, including 20 minerals, 18 amino acids, and 12 vitamins. The International Aloe Science Council advises choosing products that contain between twenty-five and forty percent aloe in them to receive the ultimate aloe vera benefits to the skin (our lotion and hand cream contains more than 50% raw organic aloe vera gel). Aloe gel has been used for any dry skin condition, especially eczema around the eyes and sensitive facial skin, and for treating fungal infections. In short, you can't say enough about how good Aloe is for your skin.

CASTOR OIL ~ A natural source oil from certified organic Castor beans. A hard and shiny that acts as a barrier agent and protective medium against harsh conditions and extremes. Very soothing to the skin.

ORGANIC COCOA BUTTER ~ Derived from the seeds of the cacao plant. It is a rich oil, a well-known skin lubricant with extra softening and moisturizing properties.

ORGANIC COCONUT OIL ~ This. coconut oil is expressed from the kernels of the coconut palm. The Hawaiians have sworn by this one for years. A great moisturizer and emollient. A great oil for general moisturizing and for those with irritaged, sensitive skin.

DEAD SEA SALTS ~ Contain magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides. Magnesium is important for both combatting stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging and calming the nervous system. Calcium is effective at preventing water retention, increasing circulation and strengthening bones and nails. Potassium energizes the body, helps to balance skin moisture and is a crucial mineral to replenish following intense exercise. Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles. Sodium is important for the lymphatic fluid balance (this in turn is important for immune system function).

EPSOM SALT ~ May soften skin and exfoliate. Provides magnesium, which has been shown to: Ease stress, Lower blood pressure, Create a happy, relaxed feeling, Raise energy levels

GRAPESEED OIL ( Vitis vinifera ) ~ An ecologically sound product that is made from the seeds of grapes after the wine is pressed. Grapeseed oil is high in vitamin E and is 76% essential fatty acid, linoleic acid (also known as Omega 6). It contains natural chlorophyll and valuable antioxidants. Very rich in vitamins, minerals and linoleic acid. Since it is slightly astringent, it tightens and tones the skin.

LANOLIN ~ Our lanolin is ultra refined and exhibits excellent moisture binding and humectant properties. A natural emulsifier, it absorbs and holds water to the skin.

ORGANIC SOY LECITHIN ~ A natural emulsifier and thickening agent for body care products and improves a products shelf life by acting as a mild preservative. Lecithin is an emollient, which is a softening and soothing agent. It has great moisturizing properties, and helps hydrate the skin. The phospholipids present in Lecithin are able to attract water from the air which increases hydration. It also has the ability to deeply penetrate the skin, and carry substances directly to the cells and the bloodstream. Because of this, it may assist the body in absorbing other properties as well. If a product is created with natural and healing ingredients, then the addition of Lecithin would actually bring those beneficial properties to the cellular level.

MANGO BUTTER ~ Mango butter is taken from the seed kernels of the fruit of the mango tree. It lends a protective effect against the sun and is said to prevent drying of the skin and formation of wrinkles. It reduces degeneration of the skin cells and restores flexibility.

PHENOXYETHENOL & CAPRYLYL GLYCOL ~ A unique paraben-free and formaldehyde-free liquid preservative. The combination of these ingredients provides optimized protection against microbial growth while imparting exceptional feel to the finished product. It approved for global usage (a good thing because the U.S. standards are necessarily that high).

SHEA BUTTER ~ Shea butter (refined) has the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. Shea butter also helps to protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun while repairing cellular degeneration.

SWEET ALMOND OIL ~ Sweet almond oil is a great emollient for softening and conditioning the skin. It works very well for eczema, psoriasis and itchy, dry and inflamed skin. It is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and E. It also contains glucosides and minerals. It is light and penetrates skin easily.

VITAMIN E ~ It is one of the most well-known and researched antioxidants. A natural preservative, it also protects the epidermis from early stages of ultraviolet light damage and reduces the formation of free radicals upon skin exposure to UVA rays and other sources of skin stress. It also protects the skin barrier's oil (lipid) balance.

LAVENDER ~ It is both physiologically soothing and psychologically calming it has been said to help balance the central nervous system and relieve tension and stress. Lavender is best know for curing insomnia and can be used as a treatment for sunburn. Lavender is great for the respiratory tract. Lavender has many healing properties that can help clear skin problems such as eczema. Also Promotes new cell growth.

GRAPEFRUIT ~ Has a very refreshing, sweet, sharp and citrusy aroma. It is antidepressant, antiseptic - invaluable in times of stress and depression as it uplifts and revives the spirit.

PEPPERMINT ~ Refreshing and stimulating is a natural analgesic, astringent, decongestant, and expectorant. It hs been used to sooth tired feet, ease muscle pain, control nausea and lesson headaches.

ROSEMARY ~ The Herb of "Remembrance, Friendship and Love". Enlivens the brain, clears head, aids memory. Good for weakness, exhaustion, lethargy. Has been used to lesson appearance of cellulite, aid in circulation and is good for oily skin.

TEA TREE OIL ~ Naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and detoxifying, tea tree oil is often used to treat dermatitis, dry skin, fungus, corns, dandruff, eczema, sunburn and athlete's foot to name a few. Known to penetrate to the cellular level, it also helps to moisturize and smooth skin.
